Shimeji Mushrooms

Shimeji Mushrooms are very common mushrooms in Japan.  Small mushrooms are clustered together, and they usually have a light brown color on top and white on the stems.  Shimeji have a mild and subtle mushroom flavor.  They are often used in Nabemono such as Mizutaki or in stir-fry dishes.
