Japanese-style fried chicken (Karaage) pieces cooked in air fryer
- 1 lb chicken thighs (boneless, skinless)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp all purpose flour
- 1 tbsp potato starch (or corn starch)
Preheat the air fryer at 400F and place the air fryer liner (parchment paper) on the air fryer basket. Or you can also grease the basket with oil.
Cut the chicken into bite size pieces and place them in a bowl. Add the soy sauce, garlic powder, granulated ginger, salt, and pepper and mix. Add the flour and starch to the bowl and coat the chicken.
Place the chicken on the air fryer basket and cook in the air fryer for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown and crispy outside. Serve immediately.
