Japanese-style fried chicken (Karaage) pieces cooked in air fryer

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken thighs (boneless, skinless)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp potato starch (or corn starch)

Instructions 

  • Preheat the air fryer at 400F and place the air fryer liner (parchment paper) on the air fryer basket. Or you can also grease the basket with oil.
  • Cut the chicken into bite size pieces and place them in a bowl. Add the soy sauce, garlic powder, granulated ginger, salt, and pepper and mix. Add the flour and starch to the bowl and coat the chicken.
  • Place the chicken on the air fryer basket and cook in the air fryer for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown and crispy outside. Serve immediately.
