Hearty sandwich with deep-fried Tonkatsu pork and cabbage and savory Tonkatsu sauce
Shred cabbage thinly. Spread mayonnaise on one side of a slice of bread and tonkatsu sauce on the other slice. Place the tonkatsu on the bread with the tonkatsu sauce, add the cabbage on top, and cover it with the other slice of bread, mayonnaise side down.
Tightly wrap the sandwich in plastic wrap and let it sit for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to blend. Then, remove the plastic wrap, trim the crusts, and cut the sandwich into 3 even pieces.
