Steamed rice cooked with Satsumaimo (Japanese Sweet Potato).
- 2 cups rice (rice cooker cup = 180ml)
- 1 Satsumaimo ((Japanese sweet potato))
- 1 tbsp sake ((optional))
- 1 tsp salt
- black sesame seeds
Rinse the rice and place in a rice cooker bowl. Add water to the line 2 (cups) inside the bowl. Let soak while preparing for the rest.
Cut the satsumaimo into 1/2 inch cubes and immediately soak in water for 10 minutes. Strain.
Add the sake (optional) and salt in the rice cooker bowl and stir. Add the satsumaimo on top and cook in the rice cooker.
Serve in a bowl and top with black sesame seeds.
